Description
An account of the resource
Subtle gradations of mezzotint burr and expressive etched marks in the foreground draw us in: Satan, in the form of a fanged snake, invades paradise, persuading Eve to take an apple from the Tree of Life. At this moment, Eve already has the apple in her hand, unbitten, while in the distance Adam wanders, unaware of the threat to them both.
